Many companies using ME10 are faced with the challenge of calculating the length of a belt around a system of pulleys or rollers. Calculations requiring the positioning of a tensioner can be an even greater challenge.

The new Belt Advisor can be used to find both the length of a belt around an existing system and the position of a tensioner given the required belt length.

Belt Advisor is extremely versatile and easy to use. First the circular elements are identified, then the tangents. The existing belt length is then calculated automatically. If required, a tensioner element is identified and the desired belt length entered.

The macro is then run and the tensioner pulley positioned automatically resulting in a system with the correct belt length.
